VAUGHN JOHNSON

Vaughn is Senior Vice President of Project Management at Salus Development. He spent 20 years in the commercial and community development banking and the economic development industries and served as CEO at three 

banking institutions in various locations within the United States. Vaughn and his teams have accounted for more than $1 billion delivered to the US economy in combined business lending and institutional investing. He was awarded a commendation by The Ohio House of Representatives for Unprecedented Excellence in Banking, Economic Development, and Business Strategy.

KAREN POELKING

Karen is a retired Higher Education Administrator.  She worked at Notre Dame College for 40 years in a variety of administrative roles, most recently serving as VP for Board and Community Relations.  She has a BA and B.S. from Bowling Green University and an M.Ed. from Cleveland State University.

LEN CALABRESE

Len was the Executive Director of the Commission on Catholic Community Action, the President of Catholic Community Connection, and a Past President of the City Club of Cleveland. He also was a

Professor at the University of Akron and President of the Cuyahoga County Library Board. Len has over 35 years of experience in higher education, public policy, faith-based and interfaith activities, nonprofit management, intergroup relations, leadership development, and community and economic development work. Len has a B.A. from John Carroll University and an M.A. from Northwestern University. His specialties include:
public-private partnerships, community relations, coalition building, multicultural diversity, leadership development, social marketing, and economic development.

KEITH BENJAMIN

Keith is the Community Services Director for the City of South Euclid and an experienced leader in the fields of government, non-profit organizations, K-12 and Higher Education. He is also skilled in Economic & Community Development, Policymaking, Marketing, Branding & Communications, Fundraising & Development, Diversity Management and Crisis communications. Keith has a B.A. from The Ohio State University and a M.S. from Cleveland State University.

SCOTT BLEVINS

Pastor Blevins has been a Pastor at Garfield Memorial Church in South Euclid since 2015 and a pastor since 1996. Devoted to his family, he is passionate about strengthening communities and crossing social, cultural and political barriers to build relationships. Pastor Blevins received a B.Ph. from Miami University, a M.Div. from Candler School of Theology and a J.D. from the Emory University School of Law.

Beverly Burks is a Network Manager at MYCOM Youth Development Initiative of Greater Cleveland. She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and an M.P.A. from Cleveland State University.

CAROL FIORELLI

Carol is a retired executive of KeyBank, a career which spanned 36 years in the areas of Commercial Banking, Technology and Operations, and IT Risk Management. Carol holds a B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from John Carroll University. Carol is currently also a board member of Womankind and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Women's Guild and has been a volunteer math tutor for the Cleveland School of Arts. Carol is a lifetime South Euclid resident and holds the community near and dear.

PATRICK HYLAND

Raised in South Euclid, Pat moved back in 1987 to raise his five children. After earning a B.S. in journalism from Bowling Green State University, he worked for The Painesville Telegraph, Canton Repository, Cleveland Clinic, Catholic Universe Bulletin and Advanstar Communications. Since 2012 he has been Director of Industry Communications for the Propane Education & Research Council.

RAJA B. FREEMAN

A South Euclid Resident, Raja Belle Freeman works as a Lead Teaching Artist for Twelve Literary Arts, a non-profit dedicated to the arts, building a better community, and educating and uplifting youth voices. Raja is also a poet, who teaches after-school poetry classes to high school students. She has a Bachelor's from Cleveland State University. Raja wants to help show South Euclid's youth that the city cares about them.

RICK KRIVANKA

Rick Krivanka is Executive Director of the Jesuit Retreat Center. He has been a consultant and facilitator, and served as Director of Pastoral Planning for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland for over 32 years. Rick has a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Organizational Development from Case Western Reserve University. He and his wife Barb have lived in South Euclid since 1975.

TAMMY LEASE

Employed by Penske Corporation, Tammy Lease oversees contract administration for six Cleveland-area stores. In her 30 years in the Automotive Industry, she has performed and overseen all phases of accounting and contract auditing for multi-franchise dealers. She has also served on the South Euclid Tree Commission and looks forward to working with OSE to bring more  public art to the city.

Lisa Mack is Regional Coordinator at MyCom Youth Development, an initiative that supports youth development as a direct path to healthy, safe communities for everyone by connecting youth with existing programs, funding opportunities and resources for positive growth. Lisa holds a B.S. from Purdue University.

Curtis Orr is a Cleveland Police Detective and CEO of CO Serving Services. He has a Bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University and is a resident of South Euclid.

JIM O'TOOLE

A resident since 1989, Jim O'Toole's local volunteerism was always a joint venture with his wife, Pam. They Co-Chaired the St. Margaret Mary Parish Carnival for several years  and founded the Avondale-Argonne Neighborhood Group. The latter project led to their involvement in OSE. Their proudest achievement was the creation of a beautiful neighborhood pocket park that was originally named the Argonne Community Park, but renamed to Pam’s Park in her honor after she passed away. As an Ex-Officio Board Member of OSE, he serves at the request of Mayor Welo. Jim has worked at Heinen's Grocery Store for more than 40 years. He is currently a Customer Service Manager.

AL PAYNTER

Al Paynter is President of Professional Home Inspections and  the former Owner of Lindsey Chemical as well as a U.S. Army Veteran. Al resides in South Euclid and attended Staunton Military Academy at Mount Union College.

Rita RossI is now retired having spent the bulk of her career in personal lines insurance as an adjuster and administrative manager. She has been an instructor with AmeriCorps and Cleveland State University. Rita has a B.A in Communications Management and a M.Ed. in Adult Learning and Development. She enjoys property rehabilitation and genealogy Tracking.

KIM SCOTT

Kim Scott is in her 15th season with the Cleveland Indians and is currently an Executive Assistant, Business. She has over 30 years of experience in the sports industry. Kim is passionate about South Euclid. Over the years, Kim was involved in PTA, Boosters, South Euclid Good Neighbor Committee, Bexley Community Group and Precinct Leader. Kim is a member of Garfield Memorial Church.

DENISE TURNER

Denise is a Project Manager at the YWCA Greater Cleveland for A Place 4 Me, an initiative to help end and prevent youth homelessness. Previously, she was Coordinator of a financial literacy program that assisted young adults to become financially secure who had transitioned out of foster care. Denise is also a member of the South Euclid Charter Review Commission, a member of the National Congress of Black Women, and formerly served as Jury Commissioner Chairperson for South Euclid. She recently became a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for Cuyahoga County.
